” In view of this, we always pray for you that our God will make you worthy of his calling, and by his power fulfill your every desire to do good and your work produced by faith, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified by you, and you by him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
When I decided to take my writing to the public through the blog, it was a decision I made lightly. I just wanted to test the waters of my faith and my ability to write words that could touch other people.
Specifically women. I began thinking about all that I had been through in my lifetime and there was a sense of confirmation that I was not alone. But, I had discovered Christ and I wanted others to know that He was the way that I overcame everything in my past and the reason I was confident in my future.
The Lord Jesus took my words and made them something I could never have done by myself: He made them relevant and resounding. The words I speak, the words I write, the words I spell out in social media posts, and quote on Instagram stories, they’re all my words, but they’ve been made worthy by God.
When God called me to write, I had no idea the power behind which His calling for my life would produce. Women I don’t even know in person are finding comfort, peace, and confidence in themselves and God’s Word because of the way God uses me to speak to them.
What a beautiful testimony to the power of God’s redeeming love for me. He took my broken, shattered past, all the pieces of my broken heart and life, and He put them together, the way they were meant to be, and made me beautiful. He made me worthy of His calling. I pray He will always continue to use me for His wonderful, holy work here on earth.
As this Faith to Follow community continues to grow and minister to others around the world, I pray that each and every woman who finds strength here would also find hope in their own worthiness of the calling of God.
I pray that every one of you finds the power of God to fulfill your every desire to do good, just as I have found that power in myself because of the Lord. Just as my work is produced by my own faith to follow Christ for all that He has for me to do here while I journey through my life on earth, I pray that you also produce many good works by and through your own faith to follow Christ.
That is the absolute purpose of Faith to Follow, the absolute purpose of Regina P Brown, the absolute purpose of the calling on my life to do this work: that you find Jesus to be faithful to His purpose for you, that you find God’s calling on your life and desire to do the good work of bringing others to Christ, that you find the faith to follow Christ for your God-given dreams, and that you believe in Him who is worthy, and able to do abundantly more than you can think or imagine.
I pray for you, that the name of Jesus will be glorified by you and the great work He does in and through your lives. I pray also that you are glorified by Jesus and that the grace of God would not ever miss an opportunity to be poured out on you until the day of Christ’s return or you step into your Heavenly home.
